Director James Gunn is not a big fan of certain character decisions made in the last couple

In particular, he was not happy with the moment where Star-Lord was unable to kill Gamora

He also disliked the moment where Star-Lord's grief caused him to lose control and let Thanos win

Gunn feels that these moments were out of character for the Guardians of the Galaxy

This is not the first time Gunn has expressed dissatisfaction with certain ideas in the MCU

He regrets the invisibility joke from Drax in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2

There was some miscommunication and some things he wishes he had stepped in on

However, he is focused on his own projects now and not dwelling on the past

Gunn is happy to have told the story he wanted to tell in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3
